I’m an Artist, Producer and Dramaturg based in Manchester,UK, creating performative and visual projects using experimental choreography, audio and visual arts often in the form of gatherings, via curated events/ workshop and immersive experiences across Galleries, Theatre and site specific locations in public spaces. I enjoy collaborating with ensembles of people and marginalised bodies to navigate lived experiences of identity in a socially-engaged practise using everyday gesture, un/popular culture,  real and imagined worlds to create a patchwork representation of contemporary racial and gendered politics.

Recent projects include performance-project KINGS, exploring blackness and masculinity in city spaces at night with support from ACE and Royal Exchange Theatre. I am also Supported Artist alumni at the Royal Exchange Theatre (2018-19) and currently the ‘Young Persons’ Board Representative’ for the Manchester International Festival and Jerwood Fellow (MIF17.) Current projects include ‘SWET’ a ‘Develop’ commission by HOME alongside Schools and public projects with Barbican, Joshua Sofaer/Greater Manchester Arts and as an artist for ‘New Creatives’ supported by Arts Council England and BBC Arts and delivered by Tyneside Cinema.

A big part of what I do is producing platforms of live, experimental work, professional development for artists/public and young people across arts organisations often engaged in issues of representation and equality since 2013.  Through 2019 I project-managed ‘Diverse Actions’ (maternity cover) an ACE funded project promoting diversity in the Live Art Sector for Live Art UK culminating in a day long symposium event ‘SKIN in the GAME’ (Z-Arts.) Alongside an interest in DIY projects, from 2015-2018 I co-ran LEGROOM, a DIY, choreographic curatorial project with Juliet Davis delivering a series of international and local artists residencies exploring movement and liveness. I have more recently begun offering Consultations for arts organisations around Anti-Racism actions and policy making.
